Mediation hearing time for commercial litigation is billed at a flat rate of $350 per hour (generally split between the parties). The rate for divorce/family mediation is set according to the financial circumstances of the splitting couple. No fee is charged for preparation. Pacific Atlantic Mediation maintains dedicated offices and conference rooms in downtown Manhattan (NY) and Manhattan Beach (CA). Pacific Atlantic Mediation also has access to mediation facilities throughout the Los Angeles and New York metropolitan areas.
Cancellations are handled on a case by case basis.
The parties to commercial matters are encouraged to submit pre-mediation narratives three business days prior to any scheduled mediation. The narratives should include a frank discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the matter. The memorandums should not include legal citations, unless a unique legal issue is involved in the case. Information contained in the memorandums will be kept confidential. Exhibits provided in advance of the mediation should be limited to crucial pieces of evidence and expert reports. Wherever possible, memorandums and exhibits should be delivered via e-mail in a searchable/unprotected PDF format.
